Sourdough

Sourdough is truly magical. It’s the oldest form of leavening bread, dating back thousands of years. Sourdough is made up of naturally occurring yeast & lactic acid bacteria, which are all around us. The process of fermentation results in the classic sourdough taste, as well as a more complex final bread structure & texture. But you can use sourdough as the rising agent in almost any baked good. It’s also super easy to digest! Check out my guide to make a starter from scratch if you’re new to sourdough.
